Algade

Description

Algade is the second-largest city in Aincrad, only topped by the Starting City in size, but exceeding it in population due to the Starting City being controlled by The Army. According to Kirito, Algade is a messy city, with several alleyways that may take several days to navigate; there were shops that players were unable to tell what they were selling, and inns that looked as though players could never get back out once they went in.

A Murder Case in the Area

Kirito was seen in the city along with Asuna to identify a player-made weapon, which was supposedly used to kill players while in safe areas, at Agil's shop for their investigation.

October, 2024

After killing a Ragout Rabbit, which dropped a rare S-class meat, while walking back from the 74th Floor's Labyrinth, Kirito quickly used a Teleport Crystal to warp to Algade to sell the item to Agil for a high price. Having been shown the item, Agil was surprised that Kirito wanted to sell it, stating that Kirito already had plenty of money and ought to use this rare opportunity to indulge himself. Kirito countered by saying that neither of them had a high enough cooking skill to cook the thing without horribly burning it. At that point, Asuna showed up and, after being asked about her cooking skill, she revealed that she had already completed it. After being shown the rare meat and making a deal with Kirito to cook the meat if she would get half of it, the two left for Selmburg, where Asuna's home was located.

Later, when the game was cleared, Kirito and Asuna watched as Algade and the rest of Aincrad collapsed into the clouds.
