Kamdet
Kamdet (カームデット, Kāmudetto?) is the main settlement of the 74th Floor of Aincrad.
Description
Kamdet is a small settlement with only 1-storey, small, brown houses with terracotta tile roofs, a wide open central plaza with a stone floor and several minor decorative statues. Although the settlement is not urban, it greatly lacks any greenery, as the only trees that can be seen from the city actually grow outside of it. As the settlement is rather small, the central plaza is located right next to one of the city gates, which is the most decorative object within the city. The city gates are made nearly entirely out of bricks, with 2 brick towers next to the gate and 3 crosses above the gate. Kamdet is surrounded by several brown hills.
Chronology
Aincrad Arc
On October 18, 2024, Kirito came to this city early in the morning to meet up with Asuna for some hunting within the 74th Floor's Labyrinth. Just as Kirito was about to give up waiting for the late Asuna, she suddenly appeared from the Teleport Gate and landed on Kirito. After an awkward situation, Kirito gets punched away by the furious Asuna and landed near one of Kamdet's decorative statues.
At that point, Kuradeel came out from the Teleport Gate and attempted to take Asuna back to the Knights of the Blood headquarters in Granzam. However, Kirito interrupted, saying that he would be borrowing Asuna for the day and that he could do an even better job at protecting Asuna than him, therefore he is not needed for the day. The insulted Kuradeel then challenged Kirito to a duel, which Kirito won by using Sonic Leap to break Kuradeel's weapon. Asuna then dismissed and relieved Kuradeel of his guard duty and ordered him to return to headquarters for further orders. Afterwards, Asuna apologized for the inconveniences she caused and, after Kirito's encouragement, they decided to continue on their journey to the Labyrinth.
